Booking Policies

Before Your Appointment

Client Policies

Every appointment involves time, preparation, and products reserved specifically for you. Please review this agreement carefully before booking. By submitting a new-client request or reserving an appointment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these policies.

Please select each heading below to review the complete policy. Important terms regarding deposits, cancellations, payments, extension hair, home care, maintenance, and potential service risks are included.

New-Client Deposit

A $100 deposit is required to reserve every new-client appointment. An appointment is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

The deposit is nonrefundable and will be applied toward the scheduled service. When at least 48 hours’ notice is provided, the deposit may be transferred one time to a rescheduled appointment.

Cancellation or rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice, failure to attend, or additional rescheduling will result in forfeiture of the deposit. A new deposit will be required before another appointment can be booked.

Cancellations, Rescheduling & Late Arrivals

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged 50% of the scheduled service price.

Same-day cancellations and no-shows will be charged 100% of the scheduled service price.

Any applicable deposit will be forfeited when an appointment is canceled or rescheduled with less than the required notice. A new deposit may be required before another appointment can be reserved.

Arriving late may require the service to be shortened, modified, or rescheduled. If there is not enough time to perform the scheduled service, it will be treated as a same-day cancellation and the full scheduled-service price will apply.

Payments, Service Results & Refunds

All completed services are nonrefundable. Payment is due in full at the time of service.

Hair services are customized, and results vary based on the client’s starting hair, density, texture, condition, previous services, home care, water quality, medications, lifestyle, and other factors outside the stylist’s control.

Inspiration photographs may be used as a reference, but an identical result cannot be guaranteed.

Concerns about a completed service must be reported within fourteen days of the appointment. Any potential adjustment must first be approved and must be performed by the original stylist.

Adjustments do not include:

  • Changing your mind about a result that was discussed and agreed upon
  • Requesting additional hair, length, density, color, or services
  • Correcting work altered by the client or another stylist
  • Concerns resulting from improper care or undisclosed information

Refunds will not be issued for completed services, appointment time, deposits, changes in preference, failure to follow aftercare, or outcomes affected by information that was not disclosed before the service.

Extension Hair & Final-Sale Policy

All extension-hair purchases are final sale. Hair is nonrefundable once it has been ordered, purchased, reserved, prepared, colored, cut, installed, opened, or otherwise customized for the client.

Hair must be paid for before it is ordered or reserved. Extension hair cannot be returned or exchanged because of a change in preferred color, length, texture, method, or desired result.

Extension hair is a wearable product and will naturally experience fading, dryness, tangling, shedding, texture changes, and general wear over time. Its longevity cannot be guaranteed.

Longevity depends on the selected hair, the client’s natural hair, lifestyle, maintenance schedule, water quality, product use, heat styling, chemical exposure, environmental exposure, and home care.

Human hair is not a manufactured fiber. Color and texture may vary slightly between bundles and may appear different from photographs. Extension hair can also respond differently than natural hair when exposed to color, toner, heat, minerals, sunscreen, chlorine, salt water, or other products.

Client Disclosure

Clients must provide complete and accurate information regarding their hair, scalp, health, and service history, including:

  • Previous color, lightener, henna, smoothing treatments, perms, relaxers, extensions, or chemical services
  • Hair loss, excessive shedding, breakage, scalp sensitivity, allergies, irritation, sores, or scalp conditions
  • Medications, hormonal changes, recent illness, pregnancy, postpartum changes, or other factors affecting the hair or scalp
  • Metallic salts, mineral buildup, hard water, well water, chlorine, or at-home treatments
  • Any services performed by another stylist before or after the appointment

Failure to disclose relevant information may affect the safety, outcome, and longevity of the service.

The stylist reserves the right to decline, modify, or discontinue a service if proceeding may compromise the client’s hair, scalp, safety, or results.

Assumption of Risk & Hair Damage

Extension, chemical, color, smoothing, and heat-styling services involve inherent risks. These may include dryness, tangling, matting, fading, breakage, shedding, scalp tenderness, irritation, allergic reaction, traction, loss of density, or other changes to the hair and scalp.

The stylist is not responsible for damage, breakage, hair loss, irritation, matting, color changes, shortened extension longevity, or unsatisfactory results caused or contributed to by:

  • Preexisting damage, weakness, hair loss, or scalp conditions
  • Incomplete, inaccurate, or undisclosed hair, scalp, medical, or chemical history
  • Failure to follow professional home-care instructions
  • Unsuitable products, excessive heat, improper brushing, or improper washing and drying
  • Wearing extensions beyond the recommended maintenance period
  • Missed, delayed, or improperly performed maintenance
  • At-home removal, cutting, coloring, toning, adjustment, or reinstallation
  • Services or alterations performed by another stylist
  • Hard water, mineral buildup, chlorine, salt water, sunscreen, sun exposure, or environmental conditions
  • Normal wear, natural shedding, or changes in health, hormones, medications, or lifestyle

No extension method is completely risk-free. Services are selected and performed based on the information and hair condition presented at the time of the appointment. The stylist cannot control how the client’s hair or extensions are treated after leaving the salon.

Nothing in this agreement waives responsibility for services performed negligently or removes any rights that cannot legally be waived.

Extension Maintenance & Home Care

Clients agree to follow all maintenance and home-care instructions provided by the stylist.

This includes:

  • Using appropriate products and tools
  • Brushing correctly and separating attachment points as instructed
  • Thoroughly washing and drying the hair
  • Protecting the hair and attachments while sleeping
  • Avoiding excessive tension, heat, oil, or buildup near attachment points
  • Returning within the recommended maintenance schedule

Extension maintenance is generally required every six to eight weeks, unless the stylist recommends a different schedule.

Waiting longer than recommended may increase the risk of tangling, matting, breakage, traction, discomfort, and damage to the natural hair.

Contact the stylist promptly if you experience unusual discomfort, persistent irritation, excessive tangling, slipping, matting, or another concern. Do not attempt to remove or repair extensions at home.

Outside Services & Alterations

The stylist cannot guarantee or accept responsibility for work performed, altered, or affected by another salon, stylist, colorist, extension specialist, or by the client at home.

Any guarantee of workmanship or eligibility for an adjustment ends if the natural hair or extensions are colored, toned, cut, removed, reinstalled, chemically treated, or otherwise altered by anyone other than the original stylist.

Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service

The stylist reserves the right to refuse, modify, or discontinue any service when the requested service may be unsafe, unsuitable for the client’s hair or scalp, outside the agreed-upon service, or unlikely to produce a responsible result.

Disrespectful, threatening, inappropriate, or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated and may result in termination of the appointment and refusal of future bookings.
